Lower/mid Primary students use more visual stimuli (kamishibai picture cards, glove
puppets, drawing stories) and mostly animal stories. Stories are sometimes acted
out.
Upper Primary / Secondary students work with a mixture of traditional folktales and
true stories that often feature people in difficult situations forced to make a choice
for better or worse.
The course culminates in a sharing session. Depending on the age/length of the course,
follow-up public performances in libraries and kindergartens can be arranged as part
of the school’s community programme.
The students really enjoyed
themselves very much during the four sessions.
They are able to conduct story telling sessions
by themselves skilfully now.
The were very excited to share with me the activities that you had done with them. Thank so much!
