I visited Calabria for the first time in June 2009, staying with my good friends Marco Luly and Luciana Codispoti in Sant Andrea. This tiny village is on the Ionian coast, near Catanzaro. It is 1 hour’s drive from Lamezia Terme airport, or 7 hours by car from Rome. Attractions have to be :
