These ideas are based on suggestions by Andrew Wright in his excellent book, Storytelling with Children
1) Hand out pictures to groups of 4. What is this about? Can you guess where story takes place?
2) Draw a series of steps for each letter of PAINT BRUSH. Play ‘hangman’ as they guess the letters.
3) Tell the story. Don’t let anyone rearrange the picture sequence
4) Group arranges in ‘correct order’
5) Three members close eyes while one jumbles pix again and ‘steals’ two pix. Group opens eyes, puts pix in correct order, identifies stolen pix.
6) Each player selects 4 pix at random. Players tell the story in picture order.
7) Each player chooses another 4 pix.  Hold it up when their word is mentioned.
8) Afterward (for fun) tell the story but make mistakes – children must correct you.
