I am presenting  a series of performances at libraries
from July  through December. I have already performed at
Marine Parade, Central, Jurong West, Bishan and Woodlands libraires.

Bedok
4 December
10.30
Central
These performances are scheduled as part of NLB’s 10,000 Fathers Reading campaign.  Designed for families, the performances are very interactive, and showcase different ways of telling stories  with your children.

Jurong West: an astonishing 200 or so people (according to Library staff) filled the storytelling area, and sat among the shelves as I told the following stories:

Don’t Eat Your Little Sister! - Lots of chorusing in this comic tale of tolerance and acceptance. It’s the title track on my DVD

Bear Hunt: one of my signature tellings which gives this classic a totally interactive twist as we explore rhythm, intonation and expression

Awongaleema : with volunteers playing 4 animals, a mountain and an anthill (!) Young children enjoy its repetitive structure (and the fact its little tortoise who saves the day!)

The Bold Rooster: a clever rooster and a greedy King go at it head-to-head with lots of sounds and chanting!

Caps For Sale: I tell this classic story - copies of the book available in the Library with the aid of a beautiful cut-out felt story set

When telling in a library
I like to show the books I’m going to tell -
librarians say they’re always popular with
kid borrowers after
I’ve told them!

I have lots of story felts for other children’s classics including

The Hungry Caterpillar
