THE DRAMA TOOLKIT
The Toolkit consists of a Teacher’s Guide, a Teacher’s DVD and a Pupil’s Activity Book.
What is in the Teacher’s Guide?
1. A comprehensive introduction addressing the following issues.
a. Getting started in drama.
b. Creating an appropriate atmosphere for drama.
c. Explaining the rationale and objectives of the drama techniques employed in the Teacher’s Guide.
d. Equipping teachers to carry out the activities.
2. 15 individual units revolving around the 15 chosen shared books (see opposite)
a. Each unit consists of two to four activities that will require a total of
60 to 90 minutes to carry out.
b. Teachers have flexibility in carrying out the activities. Not all activities must be conducted at one go. Activities can be lengthened or shortened based on the teacher’s needs.
c. Activities may be modified to cater to lower progress or higher progress pupils.
